Buena Vista Real Estate

Lake Buena Vista is a city in Orange County, and is known as the home of Walt Disney World. It is one of two Florida municipalities controlled by The Walt Disney Company. On May 12, 1967, Governor Claude Kirk signed the law creating the City of Reedy Creek, and also the Reedy Creek Improvement District, and the City of Bay Lake, which was located in the Reedy Creek Improvement District, and controlled by The Walt Disney Company. In 1969, The City of Reedy Creek was renamed the City of Buena Vista, to better reflect the location. The name Buena Vista came from the Spanish "good view", and was named for the street in Burbank, CA, where the headquarters is located for The Walt Disney Company.
