Wedgefield is a terrific family oriented community located in East Orange County, Florida. Conveniently situated, it is within a half hour of downtown Orlando, I-95, Cocoa Beach, and the Titusville / Kennedy Space Center area. The community spans an approximate 15 square mile area and is surrounded on two sides by 8,000 acres of state conservation area. Wedgefield has plenty of recreational facilities, including a championship 18-hole golf course with clubhouse, restaurant and bar; bicycle lanes on the roadways; a community park with a picnic pavilion, rest rooms, playground, baseball / softball field, soccer / football field, and a sand beach volleyball

court. The Hal Scott Preserve, located on the western side of Wedgefield, provides nature trails, fishing lakes, horse riding trails, and camping. Wedgefield is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in Orange County. It is the only community of it's kind in Greater Orlando - a superb golf and equestrian community.  It is a great place to call home, a great place to raise a family. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,700. The area has seen a boom in building activity over the past couple of years, with many estates being built in the area known as Cape Orlando Estates.
